Opened in 1982 as an airboat ride attraction, the Everglades Alligator Farm became a
real working farm in 1985.
Our farm is currently home to about 2,000 alligators of all sizes, as well as crocodiles, caimans, and other Everglades wildlife. We also have an amazing display of snakes, including exotic species from around the world. Treat your family to a fascinating experience that is way more exciting and unique than the typical tourist stop. When you visit, you’ll experience a thrilling airboat tour, and explore our alligator farm. We invite you to join one of our informative wildlife shows, presented hourly. During the shows, you even get a chance to hold baby alligators and snakes. Imagine showing that photo to all your friends! The Everglades Alligator Farm is not a part of the Everglades National Park, but we have preserved an authentic atmosphere. Over the years, we’ve become one of Homestead’s most popular attractions. Camera crews from around the world visit to film our wildlife and rustic natural scenery.
